Airport Traveling: Cute and Comfy

Ladies, I truly believe you should look your best while traveling because you never know who you are you going to run past. Literally. I feel like cute and comfy definitely works especially if you are in for a long flight. I wanted to go over my travel essentials:

This is in no particular order:

Glasses: yes, reading glasses. I feel like my contacts and the air pressure don't mesh well (personal opinion), contacts, contact case and contact solution.

Sunnies: some people use eyemasks I use my sunnies..

Evian water: yup! In the little spritz bottle. I got this from Auntie June Ambrose! The pressure can dry you out. You don't want to arrive are your destination looking pale.

Lip Balm: preferably EOS. Chapped lips are NOT cute.

Facial Cream: I am obsessed with Philosophy facial cream.

Lotion: I love the hand lotion from Bath and Body Works

Book, Magazine and/or iPad: most of the time I have both. I love to go back and forth.

Turban: yes, you read that correctly! A turban! I wrap my hair up and throw it in a comfy turban. It guarantees that my hair will stay in place and it looks oh so fashionable!

Snacks: Since I have been on a healthy journey instead of my usual Sour Patch Kids I would trade that in for Fiber One bars and granola :-) . GUMMMMM (I thought I would stress that)

Hair: a brush and comb (for obvious reasons)

Teeth: a toothbrush, floss and a small tube of toothpaste

I usually throw all of the above in to my Louis Vuitton Neverfull but I noticed last night it really hurt my solider so I would go for a pilot bag (my favorite) or a chic book bag!

Dope Girl of the Day: Blair Eadie

I am not sure how I stumbled upon Blair's blog in 2012 but I have been hooked ever since!

This woman is dope beyond words. She nails every single outfit and has the greatest pictures. I find myself screenshotting her whole IG and Blog pages. To me, Blair is the definition of classic. Her makeup, hair and nails are always perfectly done and compliment her outfit. She wears her clothes her clothes don't wear her (you guys know how I feel about that!)

Below are some of her looks that I absolutely adore!

See I Told You: Dior "So Real"

Remember when I blogged about the Dior "So Real" sunglasses? Well now I keep seeing them everywhere!!!! I have spotted a couple of celebrities on them!

If I could only justify spending that much on another pair of sunnies (or I can get blessed with a MAJOOORRRRR discount)! I haven't gagged over a pair of Sunnies like this since the Tom Ford "Alana" during the summer!!

Item of the Day: Danielle Guizio "Important Sh*t" Duffle Bag

Since I have been trying to change my lifestyle I have constantly been looking for things to jazz up my workout gear and I think I found the dopest gym bag!

By the way I need two gym bags. I always leave one a properly packed gym bag in the trunk just in case I want to get a quick workout in (this is a good tip for you so you can't ever say you are not prepared).

Anywho! I found the dope duffle bag on Nasty Gal for $50! I can't get over how cute it is! And I'm sure you will stand out in the gym with this baby.

Accessories definitely change the look of an outfit. If you don't feel like doing a full face put on an amazing fedora and sunnies and you are good to go!

FYI - you can find amazing fedoras at your local flea markets!!

Being Snatched: The Process Has Started

I promised you guys a couple of weeks ago that I would take you through my "Getting Snatched" journey. I was mentally delaying this!

I finally started with a trainer who I feel is more so a life coach. We spoke about my goals and what I am looking to achieve. She then studied what I ate for about a week, looked for any imbalances and weaknesses. She told me what to remove from my diet, what to add and what I needed more of.

Of course, even though she is certified, I swore she didn't know what she was talking about when she said I needed to eat more! I thought I want to lose not gain. Well I did what I wanted to do and not what she instructed and the first time I got in the gym with her I swear I saw Big Baby Jesus. He was coming to give me CPR ! I was lightheaded, fatigued and had a massive headache. I should have listened (note to self)! After that I made sure I had a balanced breakfast, lunch, dinner and 3 snacks. It's so important to fuel your body but especially important when you are in the gym. It has only been a week. I will give you all weekly updates and let you know my progress.

Right now I am exhausted and my body hurts but that comes with not being in shape.

I sincerely believe that fashion and style starts from with in. You need to be healthy in order to feel and look good.

OOTD: Monday Meetings

I know I promised you guys more "Outfit of the Day" posts. I try and keep my promises!

So since Monday was a holiday I took a meeting and had dinner with one of my closest friends. Again, New York is frigid. I decided to throw on a blanket scarf that I purchased from ASOS during the fall, a pair of  H&M leggings, June Ambrose military boots, H&M hat, my favorite fringe Egostistic Egotism bag and a BLANKNYC vegan leather jacket. Finished the look of with a red lip and a pair of Ray Ban's I have had for about 11 years!

I literally threw this together because I didn't want to be late. I think it came out pretty DOPE!! If I do say so myself!

Hats Off To You: Zara's Tie Dye Faded Wool Hat

It has been so cold in New York lately so I have been constantly rocking hats! As you seen in previous posts I cannot get enough of them! Today, I was strolling through Zara's website and came across the Maroon beauty

This baby with a Maroon lip and just enough of a contoured face is to DIE FOR!!!!!

It comes in at a cool $49.90. I don't know if I would invest that amount in this hat because I don't know how often I would wear it! I will have to sit on this idea for a couple of days and get back to it. Hopefully it doesn't fly off the shelves or get swooped away on the website!

OOTD: Sunday's Finest

Ugh! I missed my daily blog last night! You guys have to excuse me! It was All-Star Weekend in New York and I worked most of the weekend and decided to go to the gym then take my mother out for a late Valentines Day yesterday. Once I came home I was comatosed :-(

With all that said I will post a double for you guys today! For the first post let's talk about my outfit of the day on Sunday. (of course all the pictures are selfies because my mother wasn't paying me any mind).

Let me say this. NEW YORK IS FRIGID! Not cold but FRIGID. The only reason why you see me wearing a leather jacket is because 1) I was in car 2) Every place I went had parking or a parking lot so nothing consisted of walking long distances.

I definitely layered!! I started off with a pair of ripped American Eagle black jeans and a simple Old Navy v-neck black t-shirt with the ASOS Cape (see here for my previous post about this dope cape) along with a BLANKNYC vegan leather jacket, a pair of June Ambrose Lace-Up Zippered Leather Bootie with Pom-Poms (side note: THESE ARE SOOOOOOOOOO comfortable), a Zara hat (which I have had for about two years and yesterday was the first time wearing it) and my Rocco Alexander Wang bag that I picked up at a sample sale in December. Yesterday was the first day I pulled my baby out and she got lots of attention! You don't have to worry about wearing bright colors in the winter it can brighten up your wardrobe.

Dope Finds: Givenchy vs. Zara

There is nothing like an amazing pair of black strappy sandals. Just like a pair of pumps I think it's essential to have in your closet.

I have lusted over these Givenchy heels for a while but never committed to paying the money for them (for whatever reason)!
That was one of the best decisions I ever made! Why you ask? Because as I was browsing through eBay I found a dupe!

Zara has an incredibly similar pair-I wasn't lucky enough to scoop them in store but once I found them on eBay I knew I couldn't pass them up. Aside from the heel and the silver buckle the Zara heel is dead on!!! And a fraction of the price.

Below is a picture of me in the Zara heels this past summer.

My Obsession: American Eagle Boyfriend Jeans

Like many women I know I have numerous pair of jeans. I used to be a huge fan of expensive jeans until I realized that it doesn't have to be expensive to be a good fit. This summer I took my cousin shopping and she took me into the American Eagle store. I kindly rolled my eyes and said "I don't need anything from here" she looked at me like I was crazy and said " I have had jeans from AE for 10 years and they are still as good as new". I decided to buy two pair (they had a buy one get one 50% off sale). I wanted to SLAP myself. As soon as I put the jeans on they fit me like I had them forever! I immediately went back and purchased 4 more (different washes).

Fast forward to two weeks ago I ended up in American Eagle again and I purchased a pair Boyfriend jeans and AGAIN I am not disappointed. American is currently running the Buy 1 get one 50% off sale.  So I would hop on and grab one or two (or three nothing room with buying extra LOL)

Before I forget when purchasing Boyfriend jeans you should by a size down so you don't end up swimming in them.

Beauty: NARS Spring 2015 Color Collection

I am all about nude. Whether it's a nude monotone outfit or a beat nude face! When I saw NARS Spring Color Collection it spoke to my soul! This collection is so me!!! I would wear everything in the collection-eyeshadow included (everyone knows I am not  fan of eyeshadows)! This is collection is looks like it would give you the ultimate dewy look!

To me nothing says "chic" like a polished nude face! This whole collection can be worn at work and afterwork! You guys should know by now I need to have several "wears" out of anything I buy. I need to know that my money is well spent and I think this collection is well worth ALL of my coins.

My Obsession: Stacked Bracelets

The whole stacking bracelets is something I am OBSESSED with. I love the way it looks. You can go uber expensive or super cheap! Either way it looks amazing! You can stack a couple of Hermes bracelets with an Hermes (or Cartier watch) or a million Alex and Ani bracelets and a Michael Kors watch! Believe me EVERYTHING has a hi and lo option!

I am currently rocking six Alex and Ani bracelets, one Marc Jacobs bracelet, and two bracelets my grandmother passed down to me recently. Wearing a watch is a little too much with everything that is going on my wrist. But everyone knows I am gaudy as hell so I throw on my Michele watch with it (sue me!).
I love the way it looks and surprisingly it doesn't make to much noise when I type or move around in the office. One day I plan on upgrading to Hermes bangles but for right now this will do!
