Steal of the Day: Akira Lumberjack Vest

You know my favorite saying is "Nothing haunts me more than something I didn't buy!" Well a couple of weeks ago I saw Draya in this dope lumberjack vest from The Fine Hanger. I was surfing the net on my phone and decided when I went home I was going to purchase it. As soon as I got home OF COURSE IT WAS SOLD OUT!! I was beyond pissed! But again, you snooze you lose.  

So today as I was watching Netflix and catching on my favorite blogs I found an extremely similar option to the lumberjack vest that I unfortunately missed out on a couple of weeks back! I found this gem on Akira !

This vest is about $25 less than the one on The Fine Hanger but looks just as good! And yes I will be purchasing this one ASAP! There is just something about lumberjack. You can wear it with a pair of pigalles or a pair of timbs! You know I am all about piece of clothing giving me multiple options.

Urban Classics: Timbs

Let's talk about a staple that every New Yorker (sorry I can't talk for any other state) has in their closet.

A PAIR OF TIMBERLAND BOOTS (bka TIMBS) 

Since I can remember these "stompers" ( http://shop.timberland.com/home/index.jsp ) are a must! You can never go wrong with a couple of fresh timbs in your closet (please notice I said a couple). 

Lately I have seen these getting a lot of burn from celebs but please know urban America has been on to these for well over 15 years! A little over 10 years ago Manolo Blahnik (http://www.manoloblahnik.com/ ) came out with the high heeled version.

and more recently ZIGINY (http://www.ziginy.com/ ) reintroduced a newer version of these classic stompers 

which happen to be in my closet (big stupid smile).

I have seen the KARDASHIAN clan rocking these hood favorites (definitely influenced by Kanye)! 

Celeb offspring such as Blue Ivy and North have been spotted in Timbs as well  (adorbs)

They definitely got their swag from their daddies !!! 

I was definitely spotted in TIMBS last winter and more recently on Saturday night at my weekly weekend gig. These are comfy and go with almost anything. Dress them up or dress them down!
