WCW: Kendall Jenner

Say what you want but I have a serious style crush on those Kardashian/Jenner girls. I adore simplicity when it comes to clothing and Kendall hit the mark with this.

What's so great about this look is it can be easily duplicated for a fraction of the cost. Here you go:

V Neck Cross Dipped Hem White Blouse $11.17

Coconuts by Matisse 'Cha Cha' Cutout Oxford $61.00

I am not picky about a bag choice! I think any bag would go well with this ensemble.

Item of the Day: MissGuided Croc Print Bandeau Jumpsuit

Well well well.. Maybe I have been under a rock but as I was browsing through Nordstrom I spot a MissGuided item! Could it be? One of my favorite low cost websites is now available in the US. Nordstrom only has about 9 items but it's OKAY to start off slowly.

My favorite item has to be the Croc Print Bandeau Jumpsuit ($68). I hopped over to MissGuided to see if this item was also available on their website. It was and it looked way better! I swear it's all about how you accessorize an item! Oh and it cost an extra $2.

The Croc Print Bandeau Jumpsuit, like most anything I wear, can be worn in a multitude of ways to a multitude of places! Although, if you are bustier on top I would stay away from wearing it to church (JUST SAYING).

This jumpsuit is available in all sizes up to a 10 on both Nordstrom and MissGuided but I have also found alternative!!! If you wear sizes 14 through 24 ASOS has a similar jumpsuit that is just as dope!

All about options!

OOTD: Monday Meetings

I know I promised you guys more "Outfit of the Day" posts. I try and keep my promises!

So since Monday was a holiday I took a meeting and had dinner with one of my closest friends. Again, New York is frigid. I decided to throw on a blanket scarf that I purchased from ASOS during the fall, a pair of  H&M leggings, June Ambrose military boots, H&M hat, my favorite fringe Egostistic Egotism bag and a BLANKNYC vegan leather jacket. Finished the look of with a red lip and a pair of Ray Ban's I have had for about 11 years!

I literally threw this together because I didn't want to be late. I think it came out pretty DOPE!! If I do say so myself!

OOTD: Sunday's Finest

Ugh! I missed my daily blog last night! You guys have to excuse me! It was All-Star Weekend in New York and I worked most of the weekend and decided to go to the gym then take my mother out for a late Valentines Day yesterday. Once I came home I was comatosed :-(

With all that said I will post a double for you guys today! For the first post let's talk about my outfit of the day on Sunday. (of course all the pictures are selfies because my mother wasn't paying me any mind).

Let me say this. NEW YORK IS FRIGID! Not cold but FRIGID. The only reason why you see me wearing a leather jacket is because 1) I was in car 2) Every place I went had parking or a parking lot so nothing consisted of walking long distances.

I definitely layered!! I started off with a pair of ripped American Eagle black jeans and a simple Old Navy v-neck black t-shirt with the ASOS Cape (see here for my previous post about this dope cape) along with a BLANKNYC vegan leather jacket, a pair of June Ambrose Lace-Up Zippered Leather Bootie with Pom-Poms (side note: THESE ARE SOOOOOOOOOO comfortable), a Zara hat (which I have had for about two years and yesterday was the first time wearing it) and my Rocco Alexander Wang bag that I picked up at a sample sale in December. Yesterday was the first day I pulled my baby out and she got lots of attention! You don't have to worry about wearing bright colors in the winter it can brighten up your wardrobe.

Work Attire: ASOS Premium Pencil Dress in Check Print with Peplum

This deal is so good I had to share it with you before I went to bed! Remember me telling you a while ago that your work attire should be something you are serious about. People judge you on what you wear (whether you believe that or not). I told you I am always looking for ways to spice up my wardrobe. This was yet another item I had stashed in my "Saved Items" as I was about to close out of ASOS I realized that this dress went from $142.13 to $42.64! They are still a vast array of sizes life.

Ladies the best part about this dress is that it is EASY. Slip this on with a pump or a pair of sleek high heeled Mary Janes and you looked polished a lll day. Place you hair back in a bun and boom! Slick and office chic for under $50!!! Yes $50! Because ASOS currently has free shipping for anything over $40! Thank me later!

ASOS Find: ASOS Jacquard Cigarette Trousers and Top With Tuck

You guys know I love suits and separates. I search the sale section on ASOS everyday! Lame I know! But I find straight jewels on there. I am in love with this site and I can admit it.

This little number is too cute (and I HATE the word CUTE)! I love it!!!!! Let me introduce you ladies to ASOS Jacquard Cigarette Trousers and Top With Tuck .
 .

Originally the top was $142.13 now it's $85.28 and the Cigarette Trousers were $123.18 now they are $60.64. They have limited sizes but if this does fit your style and it's your size you should purchase.

To top these off they would go perfect with the Sophia Webster pumps I posted on my IG last week.

Work Wardrobe: My Go To Websites

I vowed that in 2015 I would jazz up my work wardrobe and start chronicling it on my site. As of right now I concentrate way more monotone outfits. I honestly feel you cannot go wrong with all black, nude, or white (even though this color may be a little challenging with pens and highlighters around).  I wanted to give you a quick run down of where I shop for my 9-5.

  • Old Navy/Gap- I named these sister companies first because I always flock to these two before anywhere else. I purchase my favorite work pants from Old Navy. Let me introduce you to Pixie Pant. These come in a long and short version and I have them in almost every color and length. Believe me when I tell you that you CANNOT go wrong with these. Whether you pair these with a button down shirt, a blouse, sweater, tee shirt and duster. You can also transition this into weekend and date nights! The pair show below are the Ankle Pixie Pant
  • New York and Company- I used to walk past this store like the plague was being sold in it! But one day a lady sneezed on me on my way to work and it was the only place that was open. It has now become one of my favorite stores. There are ways not to look like the mannequin in their store window. One way is mix and match their pieces! I have gotten cute dresses, quality suit pants and jackets from NY&Co. I actually have a really cute peplum blazer I purchased in 2012 from NY&Co. Hopefully, I will have a blog post where it is featured. One of my recent purchases from NY&Co. was their Zebra Print Coatigan . The Coatigan is so comfortable and can be dressed up for work or dressed down for running errands.
  • Forever 21- ROCK FOREVER 21 but just turned 30 (in my Kanye voice)- Yes this is one of my go to's! Why? Because they are affordable and have excellent shipping! LOL I get a lot of seasonal sweaters from them. Cute basic simple sweaters! I do not purchase any pants or jeans from them because they fit very awkward-in my opinion. Perfect example of something I might order for work is the Shawl Collar Cardigan . I would probably order it in black.

  • ASOS- To me ASOS has the best coat/jacket collection of all of the websites I have listed. I can find any style I am looking for and with their express shipping I have it in 2 business days. My only caution would be to make sure you are choosing the US sizing and not UK. I got caught up once and ordered something when it came it looked like my little cousins jacket. :-( You live and learn and make sure you read before you buy.
  • I really have no website for shoes because I shop wherever for those. Anywhere from Anne Klein, Fendi, Christian Louboutin, and Zara. I am not choosey!
I usually go shopping at the beginning of the new year for new basics. Once I do I will post them. Then start adding to jazz these pieces up!!

OOTN: White and Fur Dopeness

I went out last night! It really doesn't happen often but nevertheless....
I really wanted to wear an outfit jumpsuit from www.nastygal.com but there was none left in my size (insert very sad emoji here)
So I was "forced" to shop on my FAVORITE website www.ASOS.com and I went between these three options
I ordered options one and two! And they came on the day of the event! Now I can say I really wasn't loving the fit of the dress but all in all it worked for what I was trying to accomplish. I paired it with a vintage fur vest, a dope ass Live in Fashion see thru clutch and Zara heels. Only one ring.  Plan and simple but sometimes that work.

Nothing Haunts Me Like Things I Did Not Buy: ASOS Cape with Neck Roll

Let me introduce you to my "Nothing Haunts Me Like Things I Did Not Buy" segment. Where I will gag over purchases I put in my "Saved" or "Favorites" when I should have just put it in my a cart!

Let's begin!

This may have been my stupidest decision in about a month!! Why would I pass up this!! What made me possibly think this would be here tomorrow!
This cape screamed "CRYSTAL" and I ignored it! I went back for her and she was gone! SIGH!! At only $53.06 this would have been a steal!!!

Better luck next time I guess!!!

Obsession: Oversized Scarves

Welcome to the Fall- where you can throw on a cute jacket, boots, sunnies and an oversized scarf top it off and you are ready to go!

My obsession with oversized scarves is JUSTIFIED!!! Especially with knits scarves and snoods! The chunkier the scarf or snood the more AMAZING the look!

I try to purchase at least 5 scarves completely different colors for the Fall and Winter seasons. I am a little late this year. But below are a couple I think I will purchase-all courtesy of ASOS. All of these scarves are reasonably priced (no more than $50) in my opinion.
