Outfit of the Day: Army Fatigue and Sunshine

I swear I have been so horrible when it comes to taking shots of my outfits. I had to work an event on Saturday and decided to pull out my Egotistic Egotism Combat Leather Jacket , a white Old Navy v-neck tee shirt, New York & Company jeans , my favorite Fendi Havanas and my Fringly shoes from Steve Madden. You guys already know I love everything that Nick makes! So my jacket is perfect.
The Fringly shoes are very comfortable! I didn't complain the whole day! That's amazing!
I truly wish I took a full body pic. But don't fret because I will definitely be repeating this outfit !!!

Work Wardrobe: My Go To Websites

I vowed that in 2015 I would jazz up my work wardrobe and start chronicling it on my site. As of right now I concentrate way more monotone outfits. I honestly feel you cannot go wrong with all black, nude, or white (even though this color may be a little challenging with pens and highlighters around).  I wanted to give you a quick run down of where I shop for my 9-5.

  • Old Navy/Gap- I named these sister companies first because I always flock to these two before anywhere else. I purchase my favorite work pants from Old Navy. Let me introduce you to Pixie Pant. These come in a long and short version and I have them in almost every color and length. Believe me when I tell you that you CANNOT go wrong with these. Whether you pair these with a button down shirt, a blouse, sweater, tee shirt and duster. You can also transition this into weekend and date nights! The pair show below are the Ankle Pixie Pant
  • New York and Company- I used to walk past this store like the plague was being sold in it! But one day a lady sneezed on me on my way to work and it was the only place that was open. It has now become one of my favorite stores. There are ways not to look like the mannequin in their store window. One way is mix and match their pieces! I have gotten cute dresses, quality suit pants and jackets from NY&Co. I actually have a really cute peplum blazer I purchased in 2012 from NY&Co. Hopefully, I will have a blog post where it is featured. One of my recent purchases from NY&Co. was their Zebra Print Coatigan . The Coatigan is so comfortable and can be dressed up for work or dressed down for running errands.
  • Forever 21- ROCK FOREVER 21 but just turned 30 (in my Kanye voice)- Yes this is one of my go to's! Why? Because they are affordable and have excellent shipping! LOL I get a lot of seasonal sweaters from them. Cute basic simple sweaters! I do not purchase any pants or jeans from them because they fit very awkward-in my opinion. Perfect example of something I might order for work is the Shawl Collar Cardigan . I would probably order it in black.

  • ASOS- To me ASOS has the best coat/jacket collection of all of the websites I have listed. I can find any style I am looking for and with their express shipping I have it in 2 business days. My only caution would be to make sure you are choosing the US sizing and not UK. I got caught up once and ordered something when it came it looked like my little cousins jacket. :-( You live and learn and make sure you read before you buy.
  • I really have no website for shoes because I shop wherever for those. Anywhere from Anne Klein, Fendi, Christian Louboutin, and Zara. I am not choosey!
I usually go shopping at the beginning of the new year for new basics. Once I do I will post them. Then start adding to jazz these pieces up!!

Weekend Attire: Saturday Fit

Ahhh so let me tell you a little about my weekend madness (yes this is every weekend)
I wake up early run errands, attend any functions that may be going on with friends or family then I go to work. I have a weekend gig that I have had for years (9 to be exact)! So this Saturday was a typical one! I attended a high school football game and ran some errands with the Mister... It has been unusually warm but I decided not to play myself and act like it was STILL FALL even though it felt like July. I threw on a H&M white button down shirt. I love the way this fits! It's the only white shirt I think you can wear wrinkled. It's semi see through so I always rock it with a nude colored bra.
I put on my American Eagle jeans which I happen to love right now. My BCBGENERATION summer sandals. These shoes are beyond adorable but when I first purchased them they were HELLA uncomfortable but, like the true trooper I am, I wore them until they wore in! Vintage Fendi bag I purchased on eBay! I decided to put on my face today. I pulled out MAC's Betty Bright from the Archie collection. Even though I swooned over this lippie almost two years ago today is the first time I wore it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. Oh and last but not least my PRADA Poeme sunnies (Mister's least favorite in my collection). So that pretty much sums up my day look.

And kudos to me for not spilling anything on my white shirt because I am KNOWN for that!
After my errands I came home took a nap and switched it up for the night gig. Again, it's unseasonably warm but I decided to throw on my Sweater from the Prabal Gurung for Target collection with the same jeans and my neon shoes from the same collection with a dark lippie. I went with Boyfriend Stealer also from MAC's Archie collection. Lastly, my pilot bag! I LOVE this bag. I have been rocking pilot bags for about 8 years. You can find them any Army Navy store for roughly $30 cheap and they last forever.
I seriously doubt SUNDAY's fit will be anything to blog about. It's strictly cleaning and laundry and most importantly football!

Long Lasting Obsession: Sunnies

Please don't ask me where this obscene obsession derived from because honestly I have no clue!! Oooohhh I am totally lying. When I was about 20 I was working at a long time job (that will remain nameless) and I had a really fly couple of women that worked with me. One of them was a woman named Chanelle (go figure). Let me tell you about Chanelle- she appreciated clothes and accessories and treated all her stuff with extreme care. Most importantly, she had the sickest frame game in the world! We eventually became cool and she told me her friend sold sunglasses! Well kids that was all she wrote. Now ten years later I drool over Sunnies, dream about them, stalk FEDEX AND UPS for days until I finally here them walking up my stairs and snatching my lilttle brown cardboard box out their hands and signing my life away!

I have never counted how many pair I have (maybe I should) but I definitely not bias toward any one designer.
A couple of years ago I had a weakness for Fendi Havanas fs5198. I now have them in four different colors (see below)

Celine has become a fast favorite! Their shadow glasses have been a hit with celebs and designers alike!

More recently I have become a follower of Prada. All around classics!
I also have to come to appreciate a good ole pair of Ray-Ban. Fairly inexpensive and classic. You can throw them on with any and everything and look polished. Please note: the first picture in the collage below was a pair of Ray-Ban that was gifted to me 10 years ago!! Still immaculate!

I won't bombard you with more selfies as the blog matures you will get more familiar with all of my "Framed Beauties".
